A cozy country pub nestling under a hill just outside Congleton, Cheshire close to the Neolithic Bridestones Burial Chamber and The Cloud, one of Cheshire's few peaks with outstanding views over the plain. Well worth the struggle up!

 

The pub dates from 1825, and replaces an earlier building which traded as the Fairhouse. There is a sizeable beer garden with excellent views across the west Cheshire plain and the local countryside.
